Pierce, Moore lead Rice-Galloway League
Bruce Pierce and Nate Seekatz tied for low score on the front nine and Clint Moore posted low score of 29 and low net of 26 on the back nine in the Rice-Galloway Optometry League on Tuesday at Green Valley.
Pierce also had low net of 27 on the front, and low net team was Bogey’s with 112.

Mathews highlights MHPCC League
Kathy Mathews carded 37 for low gross and Mathews shared low net of 26 with Ann Blackburn in the MHPCC Ladies League on Tuesday at Green Valley.
Winning teams were 1, 2, 3, and 9 and 6 and 8 tied.
Haydens headline Hittle League
Christian Hayden and Bailey Hayden tied for low gross at 35 and Levi Booth scored low net of 32 in the Crystal Springs Golf Club Tuesday Evening Hittle League.
The winning teams were 1, 2, and 5 and 6 and 3 tied.
Ladies Auxiliary plays best ball
The Zanesville Country Club Ladies Auxiliary played the 1 Best Ball Net format on Wednesday.
For 18-Holers, Lucy Cook, Betsy Thomas, Debbie Hennessey and Diane Decenso were first with 60 followed by Decenso, Becky Weir, Janet Pompei and Susan Benincas with 61.
For 9-Holers, Toby Rogovin, Joan Minning and Cindy Linn won with 25, while Jan Schowinsky, Tami Swope and Susan Thompson were second with 30 and Connie McWherter, Ann Somple and Marie Bolin came in third with 33.
Closest to Pin was a tie between Rogovin and Minning, who were both 16-feet-6 away.
Six players pace Coconis League
Collin Linnabary, Eli Stone and Zak Forker shot 35 for low gross on the front nine and Mark Swauger, Roger Trout and Tom Shawger shared low gross on the back nine at 37 in the Coconis Furniture Tuesday Night Golf League @ Eaglesticks
Low Net on the front was 29 by Chris Jamie and low net on the back was 31 by Steve Woodward.

Kulick, Mathews headline Barr League
Willi Kulick and Kathy Mathews tied for low gross with 38 and Kulick posted low net with 23 in the Edward Jones/Scott Barr Ladies League at Green Valley Golf Club.
The weekly game was closest to the pin on No. 16 won by Mathews, and winning teams were 1, 4, 5 and 7 and 6 and 9 tied.
John Glenn selling athletic passes
John Glenn currently has fall athletic passes on sale during school hours, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the high school office.
Cost is $75 for Adult All Sports Passes, good for all athletic contests in grades 7-12, while it is $50 for student all sports passes; $25 for adult football season passes, $15 for student football season passes; $30 for adult soccer season passes; $15 for student soccer passes; and $10 for a soccer player pass, must be a soccer player for the high school team.
Gold Cards are free and available to residents 65 and older who live in the school district. Those passes are available in the office and are good for all athletic event in the district.
Passes will also be on sale at “Meet the Team” night on Aug. 14.
Seevers Outing needs teams
Teams are needed for the 17th annual Bob Seevers Memorial Golf Outing to be held Saturday, Aug. 14 at Green Valley Golf Club. The four-person scramble has a shotgun start of 9:30 a.m.
Cost is $40 per person, and there will be prizes on every hole plus a $5,000 hole in one prize. For more information, contact Don Seevers at 740-407-7767.
Splash & Dash moved to Aug. 29
The Dresden Swim Center, located at 1330 S. Main St,, will host its Splash & Dash event on Sunday, Aug. 29.
There are four race options for participants: Adult race, 400m SWIM + 5k RUN; 14U kids race, 100m SWIM + 2 mile RUN; 10U kids race, 100m SWIM + 1 mile RUN; and 5K Run/Walk on the Muskingum Recreational Trail.
If registered by Aug. 15, cost is $35 for adult splash and dash, $30 for youth splash and dash and $25 for 5K Run/Walk; and from Aug. 16 to race day cost is $40 for adult splash and dash, $35 for youth splash and dash and $30 for 5K Run/Walk.
